South Bend Berean launched the television ministry, Streams of Light, at the end of 2007. Streams of Light airs locally in South Bend, IN on WHME 46 (LESEA Broadcasting) at 10pm on Friday evenings. Chicago SDA Elementary School is sponsoring the Fourth Annual Free Kidney Diagnostic Screening and Intervention will be held on May 18, 2008. The health outreach is sponsored by the Shiloh Church Health Ministry partnering with the American Kidney Fund’s Minority Intervention and Kidney Education (MIKE).

The event will provide diagnostic screenings, comprehensive education, resource referral and supportive follow-up.

You should be screened if you have any of the following; for you are at a greater risk for kidney disease:

•Diabetes

•High blood pressure

•Family history of diabetes

•Family history of high blood pressure

If you have a family history of diabetes and/or high blood pressure and if, then you should be tested, All screenings are absolutely free. The only cost is that you attend and bring your family, friends and neighbors. Come and get screened so you can keep your body healthy. For with good health, you have the ability to get wealth

LRC Camp Meeting 2008

Camp Wagner, 19088 Brownsville Street, Cassopolis, MI

The Lake Region Conference camp meeting is June 20-28, 2008. Our theme will be "Go and Tell" in harmony with the North American Division's year of Pastoral Evangelism in 2009.

Ronald Smith, executive secretary of the Southern Union Conference will speak the first Sabbath, June 21.

Joseph Grider, senior minister of the Bellfort Seventh-day Adventist Church in Houston, Texas will be our speaker for the second Sabbath, June 28th.

This year we are planning a special Better Living Fair which will be held all day on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. More details to come in the weeks ahead.

Better Living Community Festival

Camp Wagner, 19088 Brownsville Street, Cassopolis, MI

The Lake Region Conference Better Living Team would like for you to join us on Sabbath, June 21, 2008 @ 4:00 p.m.to pass out flyers to invite the communities near LRC Camp Wagner to attend workshops at the Camp Wagner Better Living Community Festival. (Parade will be led by the LRC Drum Core & Pathfinders)

Workshops will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. A few of the workshops will include, but is not limited to: Health Screening & Awareness (Physical fitness, blood pressure checks, proper nutrition, sample vegetarian cuisine & healthy recipes).

Family Life Awareness (parenting skills, relationships, child abuse, substance abuse, domestic violence, marriage enrichment, making a budget, foreclosure prevention, time management, goal setting, personal safety, activities for teens & children and a special visit by the Vandalia Fire & Rescue Crew!
